A long overdue project delayed completion until recently. We had went through some of the basic upgrade parts used in this project in an earlier post. Apart from what was used in the post, rear semi float axle inners are also upgraded with Trail-Gear Chromolys.

Steering links are replaced with 7075 alloys. Steering is hydraulically assisted by a PSC 1.75" steering ram. The front 4-link suspension is a single triangulated design. Will go into this further in later post as there are a lot of controversy thoughts on this design on conventional steering. Yelp we are still using a steering box.

Front shocks we had a pair of Hotbits Coilovers with 400lbs rating King Offroad Racing 3.0 shock springs. For self recovery purpose we installed a 9500 Ramsey Patriot winch wired with Gigglepin super duty solenoid for winching durability.

At the rear we had a dual triangulated 4-link design. Support by a pair of King 2.5" IBP Coilovers, springs are upgrade to 3.75" rather than the usually 3.0" spring for 2.5" shock body.  TBK customized antiroll swaybar. At the rear is also equipped with a specially modified mechanical PTO winch, the winch drum is driven by a Toyota 7.5" clamshell differential with 5.29 ring pinion installed. And is powered through a output gear assembly geared to the transfer case.

Talking about the transfer case, it is the original Hilux 1RFA, however with a dual plate adapter and 2 crawl box installed. 1 crawl box has the a 4.7:1 reduction and the 2nd crawl box has a 2.82:1 reduction. An air actuated rear shaft disconnect is also installed.

And the original engine is swap with a Toyota V8 4.3L 3UZ-FE with its original transmission flange coupled to the Hilux 1RFA. Will discuss more on the engine in future if i have the chance.

For now just enjoy some of the test carried out at the TBK Offroad Performance.
