The Redwinch Hornet II XL comes with a bigger drum for added length of ropes. Equipped with a twin OX motor. We already mention that the OX motor had a insane rpm of 11800 under no load.
We recently get a chance to install the Supercharger unit also from Redwinch for a selectable 12V or 24V supply to the motor. The Ox motor are specially designed by Redwinch for a fast winching operation. During "over-volting" the speed is noticeably faster. Take a look yourself.
We have yet to test the supercharger on the trail, but based on our accessed on the Redwinch Hornet II normal 12V usage, the Ox motor is fast and powerful. Most importantly it can get our heaviest vehicle out of challenging terrain with ease. The advantages of electric winch is that they are fool proof and easy to use unlike those mechanical or PTO winch. And the speed is catching up with the introduction of the Ox.
